Creek County resident, Don Moss, was honored with the Ring of Honor Award during the Creek County Spring Livestock Show earlier this month. Don is a staple at Bristow Public Schools where he can be found substituting most school days at the middle and high school sites. He's also served for many years on the Creek County Fair Board. Of his award, Mr. Moss states that he was, "Very honored, very surprised". Mr. Moss was in attendance at the Creek County Premium Sale when he was unexpectedly called up in front of the crowd to receive his award. He was there watching many of our Bristow students participate in the premium sale after placing at the earlier Spring Livestock Show.

Res Ch Natural Sheep, Steel M. -Class winner Hamp Hog, Abbey R.-Class winner Crossbred Sheep, Riley H.-3rd plc class Hamp Hog, Allie B-Breed Ch Duroc Hog, Turner L. -Class winner market hog, Gentry L class 6th pl goat.
Many of these students went on to the Oklahoma Youth Expo held from March 8-17, 2023. Some of the successes at Oklahoma City include:
Cattle:
Ruby B. - Bronze Medallion Steer (3rd Overall out of 582 steers) this is a very prestigious recognition.
Tate B.- 2nd place cross steer (8th overall cross steer) and sale qualifier
Turner L. - Res Division 2 Cross steer(6th overall cross) - Sale Qualifier and 3rd overall Ch heifer
Hogs:
Sadie V.- 21st overall cross gilt sale qualifier, 4th place Berk gilt and a 2nd place cross barrow that made the Sale of Champions.
Turner L. - 25th Overall Cross gilt sale qualifier, and 7th place cross gilt
Alie B. - Exhibited hogs and made it to the big ring
Kaylee C. - Exhibited hogs
Riley H.- Exhibited hogs and made it to the big ring
Sheep:
Abbey R. - Exhibited sheep and made the sift with 2
Adalyne R - Exhibited sheep and made the sift
Kinlee S.- Exhibited sheep and made the sift
