Welcome BMS Students and Parents,

Thursday, April 12th

Welcome Back BMS Students and Parents,

Weather is warming and State Testing has begun here at the Middle School.  The OSDE and State Superintendent Joy Hofmeister has extended the testing window one week through May 3rd and we have made some adjustments to our schedule as a result.  The testing schedule is listed on our MS Events Calendar on our school website,  Please encourage your kids to get plenty of rest and have a healthy breakfast, not just during this time but on a consistent basis.  We will provide breakfast to the grade level that is being tested daily in the commons in the event they are unable to eat breakfast at home.

Spring sports are winding down as with our track team having two more meets on Saturday, April 14th @Stroud and Saturday, April 21st @Sperry in Conference Finals.  Our baseball team will host the Bristow Invitational April 12-14 and will close out the season with 3 home games on the 16th, 17th, and 19th.  We appreciate the hard work that our coaches and players have put in to represent our school and community well.

We’ve had some outstanding individual and team accomplishments here at the MS in the last few weeks.  I would like to congratulate Cameron Peters who won our school Geography  Bee and competed in Norman at the State level on Friday, April 6th.  He finished in the top 15 as a 7th grader and we are very proud of him.  We would also like to recognize Mrs. Speir and the 8th grade Academic Team.  They have qualified for the OJABA State Tournament in  Norman on Saturday, April 21st and have received the #1 seed.  They have been coming in at lunch consistently with Mrs. Speir to prepare and and wish them the best of luck next weekend!

Congratulations to our February and March TRRFCC Pirates.  February TRRFCC Pirates were, 6th grade- Jessica Sager and Noah McCall, 7th grade-- Kylie Hanson and Parker Ledbetter, and 8th grade- Camille Smith and Garrett Lundberg.  March students are, 6th grade- Abby Morgan and Mikey Pahsetopah, 7th grade- Abby Proberts and Steven Mizell, and 8th grade- Donn Schroer and John Edens.  We will recognize our April TRRFCC Pirates at our next Rise and Shine Assembly on Monday, April 30th and May students will be recognized at our Awards Banquet on Monday, May 14th.

We have several things going on with various events and activities the last several weeks of school.  Please consult our MS events calendar on our school website to see upcoming events and give us a call if you are aware of an event that is upcoming that is not currently listed.

We appreciate you working collaboratively with your student, his/her teachers, and all staff to ensure that your student is successful academically and behaviorally here at Bristow Middle School.  Our goals for our students continue to be the A,B, C's.  Attendance is the 1st priority in helping your child be successful here at school and later in life.  School begins at 8 am and students are expected to be on time with materials to all classes in which they attend.  Behavior in the classroom, hallways, athletic events, and on campus is also a one of our goals.  We follow the 6 Pillars of Character- Trustworthy, Respectful, Responsible, Fairness, Caring, Citizenship, and expect all students to adhere to these Pillars of Character in and out of the classroom.  Our third goal is Course Performance, teachers have worked very hard to ensure that all students are improving in all classes and monitor their progress continually to provide either enrichment or intervention for each individual student.  If you have any questions about how your student is progressing in a particular class, I encourage you to contact his/her teacher and discuss their performance.

We encourage parents to stay in contact with us by signing up for the BMS remind by texting @bristow16 to 81010.  You will receive weekly texts about upcoming events and things going on in and around Bristow Middle School.  You can also access your child's grades  anytime through STI.  Directions for logging on can be found on the district website at  You can also contact us here at the MS for assistance with username or password.
